Goodbye School, Hello Summer!

By: Lawrence Kim - Outreach Worker in Kingston-Galloway

I can't believe our KIC afterschool program has already come to a finish and we're shifting gears into the summer's Sonshine Daycamp!

In the blink of an eye it seems that September has turned into June and I'm all of a suddened a seasoned veteran of Kingston-Galloway. As I think back on the past year, I'm amazed and so thankful for all that I've been able to experience: all the kids I've been blessed to know, the parents that have been so gracious and supportive of our work, and how much I've been able to grow through Toronto City Mission. I can't wait to start our full-time summer camp, especially considering how awesome March Break camp was, because I'll be able to spend that much more time in the Kingston-Galloway community with the Kingston-Galloway people.

I trust that God will continue to do and show us amazing things during our time in Kingston-Galloway as He has been doing so faithfully already. In view of that, I would just like to say thank you to all the awesome people that have been supporting me up til now through your finances, prayer and volunteering. I'm confident I would not have made it here in this way without any of you and so I thank God because He has blessed me so that I would have friends such as you supporting me so freely.

As we begin our 7-week foray into the summer's Sonshine Daycamp, I have two prayer requests. Please pray that God would do some amazing things with our kids during this program time. Also, please pray for our 4 summer interns, who are helping us run the camp; please pray that God would use them in a mighty way and that they would grow immensely this summer.

I thank you so much and look forward to bringing you further updates when camp starts on July 4rd!
