Throughout my faith journey, I sometimes wonder how I can make it without succumbing to my old sinful ways; the thought of it can be quite daunting. However, I am reminded in Exodus 14:14 that like the Israelites who escaped slavery in Egypt, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still". It is so encouraging to know that the one true Mighty and Sovereign God will fight for me!
The daily grind is full of stress and frustrations, but we can trust that He will be faithful to His promise to care for us. He loves us; we just need to remain still and calm while trusting Him in the midst of all stresses in life.
May we all learn to be still.
