Mission Statement
Toronto City Mission is a Christian organization
that demonstrates God’s love in tangible ways by living among the
families of our city’s poor communities, and partnering with others
to achieve positive change.
Vision
Statement
The Toronto City Mission is called to share the love of God with families living throughout Toronto. We are committed to breaking the cycles of poverty by:
encouraging those who are struggling with their sense of self-worth by identifying their God-given abilities
enabling them to discover ways to give these abilities back to their communities
empowering them to exhibit a transformed life through a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.
We partner with volunteers, interns and especially, local churches to provide the resources needed to expand our programs where they are most needed. As much as possible, our staff lives in the communities they serve to encourage long-lasting, personal relationships. |
Statement of Faith |
The Toronto City Mission believes that: |
| 1. |
The canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are "God's Word written" inspired, authoritative and trustworthy, sufficient for salvation, living and powerful as God's guidance for belief and behaviour. |

There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit |
| 3. |
Our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh; we affirm His virgin birth, sinless humanity, divine miracles, bodily resurrection, ascension, ongoing mediatorial work, and personal return in power and glory. |

The salvation of lost and sinful humanity is possible only through the merits of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, received by faith apart from works, and is characterized by the regeneration by the Holy Spirit. |

The Holy Spirit enables believers to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 6. |
The Church, the Body of Christ, consists of all true believers. |
| 7. |
Those who accept Christ as Lord and Saviour will spend eternity with God and enjoy His glory and riches. |
