When you support Toronto City Mission, it helps make a positive transformation in the lives of children at Sonshine Day Camp; a free seven week day camp offered in four communities
As Christmas approaches, we remember the children and families in Toronto who have been impacted by poverty. Please consider a financial gift in partnership with Toronto City Mission to gather families together for a meal, a time of friendship, and the opportunity for each child to continue participating in Kids in Community (KIC). KIC is an after-school program designed for kids in grades 1 to 6 to spend their time in a safe environment engaged in positive activities. We build relationships with the kids through songs, games, Bible time, and homework help.
On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, Toronto City MIssion is taking part in GivingTuesday. GivingTuesday comes after Black Friday and after Cyber Monday. After a big weekend of buying, this is the chance to give back - this movement is happening all over the world.
This Christmas, TCM, is raising $50,000 to send 144 kids to Kids in Community (KIC) for the school year.

This Christmas, as you spend time with friends and family and reflect on the love of our Saviour, take a moment to pray for the children and families impacted by poverty. Every summer, TCM offers Sonshine Day Camp in four of our communities to children who have been impacted by poverty. During Sonshine Day Camp, kids get to join in activities, such as Ripley’s Aquarium, crafts, games, baking, and swimming, that they would not normally be able to experience due to lack of finances. Not only are their summers rich in events, they have the opportunity to learn about Jesus and to develop relationships with positive role models. Our staff, interns and TLCs (Teens Leading Communities) are always ready to love these kids.
In the next 30 days (April 15 - May 15, 2015), our goal is to raise $30,000 to send 300 kids to camp.
Every $100 gift will help send 1 child to camp for 1 week.
