Experiencing God's Love Through New Kids

Having started my third year working in Kingston-Galloway, one way I've found the work refreshing is through the new children who join our programs. Bringing in new kids to our programs can be a bit worrying; you don't know whether they're going to be totally uncontrollable or maybe they will be super well behaved and it's not a problem at all. I think it's easy to slice it this way when we're approaching new registrants unintentionally. I am constantly reminded that God doesn't choose us like that, he doesn't decide which of us are OK based on our credentials or behaviour. When I think of our new kids this way, I'm able to see just how blessed we are to get to serve these new kids and all the opportunities they bring with them. Yes, there are always challenges with getting them accustomed to rules and expectations but there is such a joy in seeing them experience God's love through the time that we spend with them at programs. It's a handful sure, but I'm thankful and certainly not bored at work!
