Ken Little, Chair
Retired Senior Project Manager, World Renew

Ken’s commitment to humanitarian work and to the poor has shaped his life’s work. Most recently and for 10+ years until retirement, Ken served at World Renew as a Senior Project Manager on the International Disaster Response team. Prior to this role, Ken spent almost two years in Sri Lanka leading in post tsunami rebuilding; 9 + years serving inner city families in downtown Toronto as Executive Director of the Toronto City Mission; 6.5 years directing the relief and development projects of World Relief Canada; 5 years living in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and 5 years in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ken’s studies include a Masters of Missiology (1983) as well as an MBA in Non-Profit sector management from York University (2000).

Steve Chu, Vice Chair
Spiritual Director

Steve has been serving the inner city for over 35 years. After 26 years (1976 -2002) at Yonge Street Mission, he joined Toronto City Mission as the Director of Ministry in 2002. In that role, Steve mentored staff and ministry partners. He also networks with churches and Christian organizations to create more awareness about TCM and the needs of the city. Steve retired from the role of Director of Ministry in June 2014 but continues to serve as our Spiritual Director. In March 2019, Steve was appointed as a Board of Director for the mission. He’s known for reminding the staff “It’s about relationships!”

Nesa Gulasekharam, Treasurer and Secretary
Retired Chief Financial Officer, Canadian Bible Society

Nesa has served at the Canadian Bible Society for 22 years including 11 years as the Chief Financial Officer. After learning about TCM through attending an ecumenical combined choir service, he joined the board of directors and is eager to use his knowledge and experience to further the ministry of TCM. Nesa has served as an Elder as the Treasurer for many years at First Alliance Church in Scarborough. He spends his free time exploring videography or reading a great book.

Maureen Pryce, Board Member
Director of Operations, YFC Canada

Maureen has worked in the non-profit sector for over 25 years and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).  Since 2013 she has served with for Youth for Christ Canada (YFC), she started as the Director of HR & Partner Development before recently moving into the role, Director of Operations. Prior to her role with YFC Maureen was the Development Director for Toronto City Mission.  Maureen grew up in Toronto and is passionate about fulfilling TCM’s vision of seeing families impacted by poverty leading transformed lives.
