SpikeBack Player Resources
What to say when asking for support
On Saturday, March 28, 2026, I will be participating in a volleyball tournament called SpikeBack Against Poverty. My goal is to raise $375, which will help send three kids impacted by poverty to Toronto City Mission’s (TCM) Sonshine Summer Day Camp.
With your gift, children will be able to join the day camps at no cost to their families. Campers will enjoy various activities, like field trips, arts and crafts, cooking, sports, games, and Bible lessons. Sonshine Day Camp is more than just a place for fun. Staff, volunteers, and mission teams are intentional about building loving relationships with campers and sharing God’s love with them.
TCM is a non-profit Christian organization. Its mission is through God’s transformational power, build loving relationships to bring hope to children and families impacted by poverty in high-priority communities in Toronto. One out of four children in Toronto lives in poverty. TCM desires that every child and family will discover hope in Jesus Christ. TCM believes in training, teaching, and mentoring whole families to become leaders in their own communities.
