Each school year brings opportunities to learn and grow, but oftentimes, growth does not happen without a bit of challenge. Before we wrapped up last school year, we decided to try something new with our youth at Orton Park. Instead of the usual fun games and activities, we decided to give them a challenge– an epic Bible exam to test what they had learned over the past year!
At Toronto City Mission (TCM), we minister not only to children and youth, but also to their families. We pray for our families to be transformed by God, that they will have the lasting joy and peace that surpasses all circumstances. Last summer, we got to see God at work! One mother's story, in particular, stood out to us.
The forgiveness we receive from God empowers us to forgive others. It is only by His grace and transformational power that we can repent and reconcile with those around us. A hug may seem like a simple expression of love, but it takes the grace of Jesus for Bella to hug her sister, Sophia.
