Summer Internships

This summer God has given me an opportunity to serve at TCM’s Sonshine Day Camp. After years of volunteering with vulnerable populations, and working in customer service jobs, I felt like I could use my transferable skills to help run this summer camp and build relationships with children. Skills such as leadership, communication, attention to detail, and teamwork. My passion for helping and seeing potential in others will help me to serve the community.

My hope is that the children of Toronto will experience the love of Christ through my words and deeds this summer, as well as having a great time.

God has called me to serve this summer with Toronto City Missions. I am so excited to see what God is going to do, and how He will work in and through us. It is so important for me to serve at Sonshine Day Camp rather than any camp, because at this camp I will have the wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel and biblical truths with these children, as well as share the Love of Christ. By God's grace I desire to build relationships with the children throughout camp, by praying for them, being an active listening ear, by using my gift of encouragement, and showing love, compassion and patience, and playing with them excitedly.

My hope is that the children will be impacted and will grow in their faith, and that this impact will spread into how they treat others at school, at home, and spread into their communities.

This summer, God has called me to return for a second internship with TCM in their Sonshine Day Camp program. I believe that God has placed the opportunity of serving this hurting community on my heart. I look forward to teaching Bible lessons, leading the kids in their activities, and bringing them on field trips. I also look forward to getting to know each of them better this summer through whatever God has in store for Kingston-Galloway.

My hope is to share the Gospel with the kids of Kingston-Galloway, and my prayer is that God would do the work in their hearts that only He can do.

There has been a calling in my life from God, to serve as a leader at TCM’s Sonshine Day Camp this summer. This will be a chance for me to have an opportunity to be allowed to follow my passion and spread the gospel with children and youth. These children and their families have been impacted by poverty. I will seek to show God’s love and help guide them to get to know who God is. I look forward to using my skills to run camp programs such as; Bible stories and worship, arts and crafts, and games.

My hope is to have the children and youth see God's work through my actions and guidance this summer.

God has called me to serve at TCM’s Sonshine Day Camp for a third summer. Through this opportunity, I can continue to serve and give back to my community which has given me so much, as I teach children about God and His love. I wish to continue to be of service to these children who have been impacted by poverty. Through this internship, I can use my giftings to help run camp programs such as bible stories and worship while ensuring both an enjoyable and safe camp experience.

My hope is that the children of Toronto will experience the love of Christ through my words and actions, while also gaining valuable work experience this summer.

God has called me to serve at TCM’s Sonshine Day Camp this summer. This opportunity will allow me to pursue my passion to share the Gospel with children and teens. Serving children in church summer camp has always been a passion of mine and this year I am excited to serve children who have been impacted by poverty. I desire to show them God’s love and teach them who God is. I will get to use my gift of leading games and creating fun atmospheres with the kids this summer.

My hope is that the children of Toronto will experience the love of Christ through my words and deeds this summer.

This summer I have been given the opportunity to once again serve at Toronto City Mission. I have previously worked with TCM the previous summer and I am excited to return and be able to serve God. I will be working as a summer intern at a children’s day camp in Toronto located at Kingston-Galloway. I strive to build on existing relationships and be a light to those around me. As God has changed my life, I strive to spread God’s love to others around me.

My hope is that the children at Kingston-Galloway will experience God’s love through my actions and words.

God has called me to serve at TCM's Sonshine Day camp at their Jesse-Ketchum site this summer. This opportunity will allow me to continue developing the meaningful relationships I've made with the families and kids there since working last year as a summer intern. It makes my heart so full to see these families feel supported in their communities. It's my desire that these kids have a great time at day camp, but also that they find a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn and discover who God is.

My hope is that the families of TCM continue to witness and feel the love of Jesus Christ through the communities and relationships God has been building in Toronto.

This summer I have been blessed with the opportunity to work as an intern at the Toronto City Mission. Sometimes God works mysteriously in the most unexpected ways calling me once again to be a voice and a leader for underprivileged children in a community where many are impacted by the means of poverty and thus lack equal opportunities as per their socioeconomic status. Therefore, I would love to spread God’s Word and his love with each child so they may be able to learn more about who He is while fostering a fun and creative environment in which they can fully prosper.

My hope is for each child to be able to take away at least one meaningful thing from camp this year whether it be through Bible storytelling or simply from positive experiences. Furthermore, I would also like to see this for myself as an opportunity to continue to grow and learn about myself as a follower of God.

This summer I will be serving at Toronto City Mission’s (TCM) Sonshine Day Camp as a summer intern. God has opened up this opportunity to continue growing in my desire to share God’s love with children and teens. I am excited to build relationships with children from families that are impacted by poverty and learn how to communicate the Gospel outside of a church setting. I also look forward to growing and working with the ministry team at TCM. I will be using my gifts from God to teach and lead programs such as Bible lessons, worship, games, and crafts to connect with the children.

My hope is that the children I encounter will experience the love of Christ through me and my fellow summer interns and leaders of this camp.

God has directed me to be TCM’s Office Intern this summer. I am inspired by the missionary work of TCM and how they live out the call to make the gospel accessible to the children through the Sonshine Day Camp. I have a heart for kids who don’t know Jesus and I desire that they feel and understand how wide and deep His love really is. I will use my gift of administration to work towards our God-given goals and exhortation, to encourage others to cheerfully give to this cause.

My hope is to see God’s providential hand move that not only meets, but abundantly exceeds our financial needs.

Serving vulnerable people, less privileged than I, has been a conviction and hope of mine for years now. This summer, GOD has called me to serve at TCM’s Sonshine Day camp. This God-given opportunity will allow me to pursue my passion for sharing the gospel. I desire to point them towards His true nature (as revealed in the Bible), through words and actions, and be the LORD’s hands and feet in the city of Toronto. I’ll be privileged to use my gift of creativity to connect with kids and run programs like Bible stories, worship, and crafts.

My prayer is that we will plant seeds in the hearts of the kids that result in a renewed understanding of who GOD is, His love, grace, and mercy, peace about who they are (because of Jesus), and a radical, fiery love for GOD.

God has called me to serve at TCM’s Sonshine Day Camp this summer to share hope with the children in the community of Jesse Ketchum. I am excited to use the abilities that God has blessed me with to encourage the youth and children to live a life in Christ and to help them develop into their full potential. I desire to show these children who come from low-income families and have been affected by poverty that God loves them through camp activities such as worship, crafts, and bible lessons.

My hope is that I can be a vessel through which God can reveal Himself to the children of Toronto as a God who loves them and has great plans for them.

This summer I am blessed to be a part of TCM’s community, as an intern serving at Sonshine Day Camp in Flemingdon Park. I believe this opportunity will be a chance for me to not only develop my relationship with God, but to support TCM’s ministry and help spread the message of the Gospel. I am especially passionate about reaching out to children, as it is vital for them to learn about Christ’s sacrificial love from a young age, even if they may not understand the message yet. As a Summer Intern, I would use my experience as a youth leader to build relationships with these children. By reaching out, hearing their stories, and connecting with them through various fun activities and Bible studies, I pray that they will see myself and my fellow interns as their supporters and build trust for them to receive the important teachings and messages that they learn from camp.

My hope is that the children at the Sonshine Day Camp will hear the message of the Gospel and that they will experience the love of God through His Son Jesus Christ through the Bible time and activities we provide.

Having been a missionary kid and growing up in a third world country, I have witnessed how poverty impacts families, especially the children and youths. This summer, God has called me to serve at TCM’s Sonshine Day camp. This opportunity will allow me to pursue my passion to share the gospel with children and youths who come from low-income families. I have a desire to share God’s love and teach them who God is.

My hope is that the children who comes to camp will experience Christ’s love and know that they are not alone through my words and deeds this summer

God has blessed me with the opportunity to serve at TCM’s Sonshine Day Camp. There are kids who need to receive the Bible, and God has called me to step out of my comfort zone and contribute to His Great Commission. In this camp, I will not only explore my passion for teaching children, but grow as a person, form meaningful connections with other believers, and develop as a stronger witness for Jesus Christ.

My hope is that God, in whatever way, will use me as a living testimony not only to the children, but to the neighbourhood of Flemingdon Park.
