God in the Little Moments
One of the greatest ways I have experienced God during my internship has been through the Bible teaching over the past two weeks. Going into the lessons, I hoped the kids would enjoy them, but I never expected to be so encouraged by their eagerness to learn. Seeing even the youngest campers listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and get excited about God's Word reminded me of Jesus' words in Matthew 19:14:
"Let the little children come to me... for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Their excitement challenged me to approach Scripture with the same curiosity and joy.
Another way I have seen God move is through the relationships that have continued to grow throughout the summer. Not only have I built meaningful connections with the campers, but I have also had the opportunity to get to know many of their parents. Simple conversations at drop-off and pick-up have grown into genuine relationships, reminding me that ministry happens both inside and outside of camp.
Colossians 3:23 has encouraged me throughout this internship:
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.”
God has also been teaching me that even the smallest acts of faithfulness can have an eternal impact. Whether leading games, teaching Bible lessons, or simply taking time to listen to a camper, He can use every moment for His glory. As Galatians 6:9 reminds us,
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."
Looking back at the summer so far, I am grateful for the ways God has been working in the lives of the campers, in the relationships formed, and in my own heart. He has strengthened my faith and reminded me that sharing His love is a privilege every single day.
