A Merry Christmas

The past few weeks, has been wonderful! During December we had our Christmas Party where we were blessed by two church partners who provided food and a Christmas story. Pastor Albert shared the good news of Jesus and what the meaning of christmas is. He also shared on the significance of a candy cane. We also had colouring, fun games and an amazing worship time. This was followed by a time of gift opening, where the kids were able to open their presents together, family style. The kids were super grateful and were super happy. On our last day of program we had a fun day of building gingerbread houses with the kids, and fellowshipping over some hot chocolate. Before we went on christmas holiday's we also had a fun day at our youth volunteer discipleship night. Where we spoke the grade 7 students about what it means to be a leader. We then played some games and enjoyed some delicious hot pizza.

A Brand New Year!

Now that we are back, we are excited to journey with the kids in the new year. So far the kids have been learning about Joshua and the walls of Jericho, as well as Samson and his return to God. We have also restructured our EPIC program and it is going well. The kids now have some new grade appropriate math material that volunteers have been helping the kids with who do not bring their own homework. We are also super grateful to have a group of kids that love worship. We are excited to see what God will do throughout the rest of this school year both academically and spiritually.

Highlights:

One of my highlights is watching one of our kids who is of Islamic faith, participate in our times of worship, memorizing scripture, and actively participating in our bible time. It is a pleasure watching her grow day by day. During the holiday's she made a card and thanked us for allowing her to be a part of our program. What a blessing to have her be apart of what God is doing in Flemingdon Park.

Another highlight, was when one of parents said that her son is really blessed by our program and has now been attending church and loving it! PTL!

Also my son Judah, turned one years old on January 4th, boy does time fly! He enjoyed cake for the first time and some amazing time with family and friends!
