Prayer Wall
Pray & Break Bread
As I write this reflection I sit in the office at Jane and Finch glancing over at my "wall of graduates" also known as my "prayer wall". Each morning as I come into the office to set up for class, I am inspired by these women who have worked so hard to achieve their goals. I am reminded to pray for each of my students in class, as well as the moms who have come before them.
On the adjacent wall is a print out of a map from our most recent event Pray & Break Bread. This event was an opportunity for prayer, volunteer, and financial supporters to come together and see how God has been, and continues to, transform lives in the Jane and Finch community. This was an intentional time for supporters to pray together in the community, and then to break bread, and share how God spoke to them.
Both the prayer wall and the Pray & Break Bread map, are my daily reminders that through prayer God can change lives. As we move forward in the year, and the women share more with me and each other, it is evident that prayer can drive God to do immeasurable things in our lives.
