On May 13, 2023, join Toronto City Mission in Strikeout Poverty Fundraising Softball Tournament!

Date: Saturday, May 13, 2023 Time: 08:00 AM - 07:00 PM Location: East Point Park Address: 101 Copperfield Rd, Scarborough, ON, M1E 3T9 Team Donation: $1000

As this is a fundraiser, we ask that each team raises a minimum of $1000 to participate

Strike Out Poverty is a charitable fundraising softball tournament for Toronto City Mission (TCM). Funds raised will assist and transform children and families impacted by poverty. One in four children in Toronto is living in poverty. You can help each child and their families find hope through Jesus Christ. Every dollar raised will help children, youth, and families impacted by poverty to participate in preventative programs that will train, teach and mentor whole families to become leaders in their own communities.

Team & Player requirements:

  • Teams must have a minimum of 8 players.

  • Minimum of 3 women fielding at a time.

  • All players must be over 16 yrs old to Participate.

  • All Teams required to raise a minimum of $1000 to qualify for the tournament.

  • All players must sign waiver form to participate.

Event Details:

  • Each team is guaranteed 3 round robin games and a playoff game

  • 60-minute umpired games

  • Skills Competition (Home Run Derby, Fastest Pitch and Gold Glove Competition) during Lunch Break

  • Los Vietnamita Taqueria will be our featured Food Vendor (Each team can pre-order and pay for their lunches one week before the event and food will be delivered to the venue for the lunch break
