As #30DaysofSonshine comes to an end, we take a look at our favourite camp memories! Since Sonshine Day Camp looks and is different from past years, we thought it would be a great idea for the kids at Flemingdon Park & Kingston-Galloway to share their favourite camp memories and one word (or more) to describe camp. Zine Craft | Chantal |#30DaysofSonshine

A Zine is a DIY booklet which contains anything that you want it to have! Some zine ideas are what you are doing at home, summer activities you like, your hobbies, or your favourite foods. 

List of materials for the zine are:

• White paper or construction paper

• Drawing tools: markers, pencil crayons, crayons etc. 

• A pair of scissors

Nail Art Tutorial | Nuri | #30DaysofSonshine

Nuri joined the TCM family quickly after her summer internship in 2019, becoming a full-time staff member the following December. She serves the Flemingdon Park community of Toronto absolutely loves the relationships she's made there so far! She's excited to spread the Gospel as well as challenge and deepen the faith of those who've found Christ in their lives already. Today, Nuri will be us showing a nail tutorial with five different designs! Only two colours are needed and you can feel free to mix and match them however you'd like! Have fun!

Lasting Memories | Elliott | #30DaysofSonshine

In the late 1990's, Elliott felt a strong call to local urban missions. He came on staff at Toronto City Mission in the fall of 1999. After spending 4 years as an Outreach Worker in our Willowtree community, he served 5 more years at our St. James Town ministry site. Then for the next 10 years, Elliott served as TCM's Director of Outreach, and last summer he accepted his current position as Executive Director. This September he will be celebrating 21 years of service at TCM.

At Toronto City Mission, we are motivated by the importance of building lasting, sustainable relationships with both our partners and those we serve. Over the years, Elliott has been overjoyed at the lasting relationships that he has been blessed with.

A few years ago Elliott had the honour of driving these 3 youths (now young men), to their very first summer job: working at an overnight camp!
